Yesterday, during the first meeting of ten incredibly talented humans who are serving as advisors for Jenna’s Board, a dear friend that over a thousand people call “boss” likened tackling big problems to “making elephant carpaccio.”
How brilliant is that?
There’s a lot going on in my world this week, including moving (our house is in boxes and I’m practicing deep breathing exercises), so here’s a quick link roundup of what I’d like to share with you:
I got engaged to the love of my life, Warren Davies, who in addition to being the most emotionally intelligent man I have ever met and an incredible partner, runs the creative agency All or Nothing. He is also building ways to make cities more sustainable. Say hi.
Do you want to run your idea or challenge past 5 members of Jenna’s Board for their thoughts? *Reply to this email and tell me what you’d like to get their read on.* It’s a free public service for all involved because I’d like to help build a world where you always have cool, wise people to go to for guidance. If you’re debating whether or not you should reply, share what you’re working through with me and let me be the judge. :)
You keep asking me for recommendations this week so I’m going to just list the ones I’ve made here: For spending less time on social media, for banking sustainably in Euros, for getting a move on for using AI more regularly, for humorous weather forecasts, for meeting cool strangers over breakfast (this link plus code MIDT for a discount).
“So how are you going to do it?” I just heard on a call about my guesthouse hotel concept. That is, of course, my big question, THE big question for me these days. If you / if you know anyone who *works in or around* transformational travel experiences and/or insanely cool places to stay who would 1) like to chat about the future of travel with me, or 2) help me bat around the right ways to fund this given the cost of capital and state of the financial markets right now, connect us please. These connections are exactly how cool businesses start and I need your help.
…Or maybe I’ll just pivot and start a hotel for birds.
🐘,
Jenna
