Hospitality is an emotional technology. It's an immersive experience. When you walk into a place with warmth, atmosphere, amazing people - you instantly become at ease.
You become *curious.
Curious about a delicious thing you saw, the conversation between the people sitting at the table next to you, which song is playing, what that smell is. Which book is that person reading in the corner? What's the story behind that bartender's tattoo? How can my home look like this!?
And you say hi, and you ask.
When you're welcomed somewhere, by a real host, you absolutely want to know where they think you should go, what they're into. What they think you should do in a city. Where they found that thing. Who you should meet. You see their thoughtfulness in the way they respond to who you are, baked into *every single possible detail.
When they look at you, you genuinely feel seen.
At ease. The opposite of formality. A candor, a realness.
They're open. They're cool af. They have absolutely no pretentiousness - no plastic, no agenda other than that of investing in your good time.
You find yourself genuinely wanting to be friends with the people behind this place. To figure out how they created this world, this haven that you stepped into - that you're staying over in. How this all came about.
How you can experience this, more.
And you bring this energy towards everything else you do that day.
I hear the word "community" bandied about by just about every brand these days. The word "experience."
But you know exactly the kind of people and places that I'm talking about.
You've met them before.
And those people and places know what "hospitality" means. It's the oldest industry for a reason, and I'm calling it right now -
Hospitality is an emotional technology.
And it's the one that we'll be turning to more and more in a world with AI. With half of everyone you meet suffering from loneliness
It's the technology that we need, in these times, especially.
It's what I've dedicated my career to, across all of my projects. It’s the mission behind what I've started at AMARIMA.
Giving you what's "amazing," that "exhale," the effortless "vibe" that you deserve. Everyday.
Turn up the dial on your gorgeous life?
Love,
Jenna
